A fishing village and a place of charm. It's nature is exuberant - beaches and dunes, petrified cliffs, beautiful lakes and a tropical flora and fauna. Among it's beaches, Tourinhos is considered one of the most beautiful in the Northeast and Araial do Marco accepted by the academics as the place where the Portuguese first landed in Brasil.
With the passing of the years, the town has become renowned for its natural attributes. Ponta do Santo Cristo is now recognised as one of the best places in the world to practise kitesurf and windsurf. Another strong point, is the town's gastronomy, where the bohemian restaurants and bars offer regional and international dishes served up with live music.
Sao Miguel do Gostoso is perfect to visit at any time of the year. The best season for wind sports is October to March. Between May and August, the sun sets over the ocean and baby turtles are born along the coastline of Sao Miguel do Gostoso.

Pousada Chantilly is a small and charming guesthouse situated in a priviledged location in the center of Sao Miguel do Gostoso with direct access to Xepa beach and Rua da Xepa where you can find the the town's best restaurants and bars. Other essential services such as supermarkets and pharmacies are only steps away, with the major windsurf and kitesurf points a short walk along the beach.
The guesthouse offers 8 rooms, all located in a beautiful garden with an abundance of tropical flora and fauna. The refreshing swimmming pool offers a jacuzzi and sunshelf and a unique cascade and fountain for your pleasure. There are sunbathing areas with sunbeds and a relaxation area for guests to enjoy a drink with friends.
The guesthouse serves a delicious breakfast, including local fruits and traditional northeastern dishes, on an open veranda. A small snacks and drinks menu is also offered.
Pousada Chantilly offers free WiFi and the rooms have either SKY-TV or Internet-TV. We also have a small parking area on site with additonal street parking available.

The Superior Queen Sea View rooms, on the upper floor, are considered the best rooms for couples.
These rooms are equipped with a queen-size bed (an additional bed can be added for adult triples), 2 bedside tables, a small wardrobe, a desk with a chair, a corner chair with reading lamp, TV-SKY, air-conditioning, ceiling fan and minibar. The bathrooms have 2 hot electric shower heads, a hygeinic duche and a hair dryer. Soaps are provided. On the veranda there is a hammock and a table with 2 chairs.

GALINHOS
On this trip your first stop will be Tourinhos beach with its petrified cliffs and whale blow hole. You will then visit the beaches of Varame and Morros before arriving at Marco beach where you can see the replica of the mark placed by the Portuguese colonialists. Continuing on you will pass the beaches of Enxú Queimado, São Bento do Norte and Caiçara before finally arriving at the Peninsula of Galos and Gallinhos. After lunch, you will visit a lake before returning to Gostoso where you will arrive just in time to enjoy the sunset. The time of departure is dependant on the tides.
PEROBAS
This trip to the south of Sao Miguel do Gostoso enables you to pass through the beaches of Monte Alegre, São José, Lagoa do Sal, Cajueiro, Farol do Calcanhar, Touros and Carnaubinhas before arriving in Pérobas. From Pérobas beach you will take a boat so that you can swim and snorkel in the crystal clear waters of the coastline. The reefs are formed by live corals that attract many fish, crustations and algae. It is a paradise, as yet, little discovered. The time of departure is dependant on the tides.

NATAL BY CAR
Natal to Pousada Chantilly is 110km. The journey takes between 1.5 and 2 hours. From Natal follow the sign for the BR-101 in the direction of Touros. Ignore the turn off for Touros and at the next junction turn left at the signpost for Sao Miguel do Gostoso. Follow the BR-221 passing through the villages of Lagoa de Sal, São José and Monte Alegre until you reach the Pórtico of Sao Miguel do Gostoso. Continue along the main road (Rua Principal or Avenida Arrecifes) until the crossroads (the one after the Bank of Bradesco and the Post Office (Correio)). Turn right and descend Rua Praia da Xêpa in the direction of the beach. At the T-junction, turn right again. The entrance to Pousada Chantilly will be directly infront of you. Due to its popularity, Rua da Xêpa, the main gastronomic street in our municipality, has restricted access to vehicles from 5pm to 11pm. However, presenting the pass provided by our guesthouse, our guests have free access. If you are arriving or traveling during this period, please request your access pass.

From the Natal Bus Station (Rodoviária de Natal) to São Miguel do Gostoso it is 110km and the journey takes between 1.5 and 3 hours. For more information Expresso Cabral telefone: +55 84 3223-4041. Arriving in Sao Miguel do Gostoso, ask to disembark at the the crossroads after the Bank of Bradesco and the Post Office (Correio), in the center of the town. Then descend Rua da Xêpa in the direction of the beach. The walk to Pousada Chantilly is approximately 200m.
FLIGHTS TO NATAL
The Natal International Aiport (Aeroporto Internacional de São Gonçalo de Amarantes) is 85km, or 1.5 to 2 hours by car, from Sao Miguel do Gostoso. If you are coming from any city in Brasil you can consult, among others: LATAM / AVIANCA / GOL / AZUL. If you are coming from Europe the most popular flight is TAP Air Portugal
